Portion control is an essential skill that you must learn to ultimately be able to control your weight for the long term. The portion of food should be the serving size listed on the packaging. Try using this portion of food and placing it on a smaller size plate. It can help make the portion seem more satisfying. Have a large glass of ice water with your snack. Eat slowly and finish with a second glass of water and not a second helping of food.
