Free Lap-Band Surgery Campaign
Free Lap-Band surgery coming in January. As some of you may have heard, our practice has decided to offer a free Lap-Band to a patient and is holding a contest to choose the winner. The contest will begin airing on the radio in January on Sunny 106.9.
I have agreed to donate my time and expertise to the contest winner and will help follow that person for the long term. Hopefully whoever the contest winner is will be very successful in losing every single pound of excess weight and achieve their ultimate weight loss goal!

I have had gastric bypass surgery in June 2002 and kept all the weight off until 3 years ago. I have progressively began to gain weight and now above the BMI of 40. At this time, I an unemployed 59 year old woman with no insurance. I would really love to have the lapband surgery so that my remaining years can be pleasant and not being self conscious. I know with the lapband, it can be regulated so that I will keep the weight off and be able to enjoy my life again.

Wow, I wish I would have known about the contest. After my mother passed in 2008 I started gaining weight like crazy and was actually talking to my doctor about getting the lapband. However, I lost my job and that idea was shot down. Now I am working for a company that has strung us alone since November 2010 about getting health insurance, to find out we will NOT be getting insurance to leave me looking for finance options. I feel like I am stuck ..feel like.. I am going to die either way. If I don’t get the money to try to pay for it, then I know I will eventually die…so I guess I keep ticking until I can’t tick no more..huh?lol. But it was nice of you to have the contest and I hope the individual that won took advantage and has adapted to the life changes. God Bless and Take Care!
