Weight Loss Planning Calculator

Create Realistic Weight Loss Goals

The Weight Loss Planning Calculator helps you to establish realistic time-lines for your weight loss goals.

Simply enter the desired amount of weight you would like to lose (in pounds). Then enter the time-frame (in weeks) in which you would like to lose that weight. Click "Calculate" to see how many calories you will need to trim from your daily diet to meet your weight loss goal.

How the Weight Loss Planning Calculator Works

It takes approximately 3500 calories of a deficit to lose one pound, so for example if a person’s total goal was to lose 10 pounds in 10 weeks, then each week they would have to create a 3500 calorie deficit. That would translate to a daily calorie deficit of approximately 500 (500 x 7 + 3500, that would equal one pound per week!).
